Scholarship Awarded for the Fall semester

The Diana T.Y. Chung and Henry W.S. Chung Memorial Scholarship is awarded each fall to one incoming (new) and one current international student at SF State. The amount of each award will vary from year-to-year, but will be no less than $500.00 per student. The scholarship is not renewable and is awarded in contingent upon admission and verification of full-time enrollment at SF State. Scholarship recipients will be chosen on the basis of academic merit and financial need with higher consideration given to academic merit. Recipients must be enrolled in a full course of study at SF State (12 units for undergraduates; 8 units for graduates).

  • Scholarship Intent: The purpose of the Diana TY Chung and Henry WS Chung Memorial Scholarship Endowment for International Students is to help students from other countries earn college degrees and then utilize their knowledge and skills to the benefit of their families, home countries, and the United States.
  • Criteria:
    1) Open to all matriculated (degree seeking) F-1 & J-1 international students at the undergraduate and graduate levels of study.
    2) Both prospective and continuing international students are eligible to apply.
    3) The awards will be based on both merit and need with higher consideration given to academic merit.
    4) Scholarships are granted only once and are non-renewable, and awarded contingent upon admission and verification of full-time enrollment at SF State.
