William B. Ruggles Right to Work Scholarship, The

• Scholarship Intent: To award a scholarship to the student who exemplifies the dedication to principle and high journalistic standards of the late Mr. Ruggles.
• Criteria:
  1) Demonstrate potential for successful completion of the educational requirements of an accredited journalism program.
  2) Demonstrate understanding of the principles of voluntary unionism and the economic and social problems of compulsory unionism.
  3) Demonstrate scholastic ability and interest in the work of the institute.
  4) Officers, directors, and employees of the National Institute for Labor Relations Research, the National Right to Work Committee, Members of the Selection Review Committee and their families are not eligible.
