IES Scholarships

  • Scholarship Intent: The Illuminating Engineering Society offers scholarships to students who desire to pursue lighting education, research or illumination as a career.
  • Criteria:
    1) Several different scholarships are offered and intended to cover any and all fields of lighting.
    2) Contact organization for all eligible majors and specific eligibility requirements.
    3) Must be enrolled at an accredited four year college or university located in Northern California, Nevada, Oregon or Washington.
    4) Graduate applicants must be undertaking a lighting-centered project as part of work towards a graduate degree.
    5) Must submit three letters of recommendation, at least one of which shall be from someone involved with lighting professionally or academically and shall attest to the lighting skills and interest of the applicant.
