CANFIT Program Scholarships

  • Scholarship Intent: CANFIT provides funds to students of African-American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian-American, Pacific Islander, or Latino/Hispanic descent to help achieve their college education undergraduate or graduate degrees in nutrition, physical activity,
  • Criteria:
    1) Must be of African-American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian American, Pacific Islander or Latino/Hispanic descent.
    2) Undergraduate students: Must be enrolled in an approved bachelor level program in Nutrition or Physical Education at an accredited university in CA. Must have completed 50 semester units of college credits and provide transcripts to verify.
    3) Graduate students: Must be enrolled in an approved master level or doctoral graduate program in Nutrition, Public Health or Physical Education; or American Dietetic Association. Must have 12-15 units of graduate course work completed and provide transcripts.
    4) Awards also available for culinary arts applicants. Must be enrolled in a culinary arts college in California.
