Franco Family Accounting Scholarship

For Renewal Only: This scholarship will be awarded for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. All application materials must be submitted directly through Academic Works.
$2,500 in Fall 2026 and $2,500 in Spring 2027 (please note: scholarship recipient must be enrolled in at least 1-unit in Fall 2026 and 1-unit in Spring 2027 in order to receive the funds for the respective semester)

  • Scholarship Intent: The Franco Family Accounting Scholarship is designed to serve economically disadvantaged students majoring in accounting who have demonstrated a commitment to enhancing diversity. Preference will be given to undergraduate students who are or have been involved in civic, cultural or business organizations that support underserved communities.
  • Criteria:
    1. Undergraduate students majoring in accounting or graduate students pursuing a Master of
    Science in Accountancy.
    2. Students must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal
    Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act application.
    3. Students must provide a written statement describing their involvement in organizations that
    enhance diversity as well as their educational and career goals
  • Major: Multiple: MS in Accountancy, and MS in Accountancy (in the Blend program/Scholars program at the graduate level), BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting (in the Blend program/Scholars program at the undergraduate level.
  • Class Level: Undergraduate: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, & Senior, Graduate: 2nd BA & Masters/MFA
  • Enrollment Status: Continuing SF State student
  • Enrollment Requirement: Undergraduate: 1 Unit, Graduate 1 Unit
  • Financial Need as determined by the FAFSA and/or CA Dream App: Yes
  • Citizenship: Any
  • Minimum GPA: Undergrad GPA: 3.0 & Grad GPA: 3.0
