Defending Journalism Scholarship

The purpose of the Defending Journalism Scholarship is to assist promising students in
Journalism as they work toward graduating and obtaining their degree. The Office of
Student Financial Aid and/or department chair of the Journalism Department, or an
appropriate designee, shall be responsible for administering the Fund and awarding
Distributions to students in good academic standing and who meet the following criteria:
1. Undergraduate students majoring in journalism with self-declared financial
need and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
2. This fund shall support one award annually $2,000.00
