  • Scholarship Intent: The purpose of the Yasmyn Victoria for Social Justice Scholarship is to assist promising SF State students involved in creating access and equity for Latinx communities.
  • Criteria: Undergraduate students who demonstrate a commitment to social justice and to promoting equity and equal access for Latinx communities. Applicants who are interested in pursuing law as a profession and those who are taking pre-law courses shall receive preference.

  1. 1. Yasmyn Victoria knew that people needed chances in life and that many good people were just in bad situations. Yasmyn worked in K-12 education and volunteered in the community working with marginalized youth. She wanted to make a difference in an unjust world; a world shaped by a system that kept failing her and others. In no more than 400 words, reflect on your experiences (life and/or work/school).   2. 2. Yasmyn often shared that she was an old soul. Yasmyn had a special gift that allowed her to connect with people without judgement.
