Awarded in the Fall semester to a Post-Baccalaureate student in the Pre-Health Professions Post-Baccalaureate Programs in the College of Professional and Global Education.
Recipients are highly encouraged to attend the CoSE Donor Dinner in late October 2025 if the donor to their scholarship will be present.
Scholarship recipients must meet the following criteria as of the award period.

- Scholarship Intent: Scholarship award for a student in the Pre-Health Professions Post-Bac Certificate Programs who demonstrates financial need and dedication to pursuing a career in the health professions. The scholarship honors the memory and impact Dr. Michael Green has had on students and colleagues by helping highly motivated and deserving students in the Formal Post-Bac Programs.
1. Applicants must be enrolled in at least 6 units of coursework in the Pre-Health Professions Post-Bac Certificate Program.
2. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the SF State Post-Bac Program.
3. The awardee must use the award for academic expenses associated with attending SF State, for example: tuition and associated travel expenses, computer hardware or software, books and school supplies, living expenses, workshops/conferences, or financing their application to graduate health professions programs.
Application Requirements:
1. Applicants must submit a 500-word written statement describing a) financial need (explain the fiscal challenges you have faced related to attending the program, including tuition and living expenses), b) use of funds to complete the program and/or apply to health professions graduate school and c) past contributions and service (paid or volunteer) in a clinical or community setting.
2. Applicants must arrange for one SF State faculty member to submit a letter of support describing a) the extent to which the student and teacher have interacted, b) the student’s dedication to learning in their class, and c) the student’s contribution to a collaborative learning environment in their classroom (letters should address the aforementioned prompts, and need not provide any information from the applicants’ resume).
3. Applicants must submit a copy of their (unofficial) current SF State transcript.
