Benny & May Chin Scholarship in Philosophy

This scholarship will be awarded for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Students must enroll HALF-TIME (6 units undergraduate, 4 units graduate) during the 2024-2025 Academic Year to receive the scholarship
Kenny Chin is the president of the Kenny and Maria C. Chin Family Foundation. Mr. Chin previously served as president and owner of Honway International, a privately held import/export business he founded in 1987. Mr. Chin earned his MA at San Francisco State University in Political Science in 1978. He later earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from UC Berkeley in 1986. Mr. Chin’s dissertation focused on China’s open door to foreign investments.
