- Scholarship Intent: To assist promising SF State students majoring in Journalism who have financial need and are interested in either focusing on or have focused on 1) issues affecting women; 2) labor reporting and/or other economic social justice issues; 3) issues in minority communities such as the African American, Asian American, American Indian or Latina/Latino communities. The scholarship will give a student the opportunity to focus on areas of study that he or she may not have otherwise considered.
