  • Awarding Department: Educational Opportunity Program
  • Scholarship Intent: To help EOP students who have faced hardship and adversity and wish to complete an undergraduate degree. Scholarship recipients must show an understanding of what it means to struggle to gain an education for the benefit of themselves, their family and community.
  • Criteria:
    1) Applicants must be incoming or continuing undergraduate students in SFSU’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP).
    2) Student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
    3) Scholarship is renewable for up to 5 years if student continues to meet eligibility requirements and maintains a 3.0 all college and SFSU cumulative GPA.
    4) Students who meet the AB540 definition are eligible to apply.
    5) Must apply for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act application.
    6) Must have financial need as determined by FAFSA or the California Dream Act application.
