- Scholarship Intent: In honor of Paul Whang’s dedication to helping youth, the Paul Whang Memorial Fellowship Endowment shall encourage and provide support to college students interested in working with low-income youth in Asian American communities.

Criteria:
1) Undergraduate student majoring or minoring in Asian American Studies.
2) Graduate student in the M.A. program in Asian American Studies.
3) Must have completed a 60 hour internship working with the low-income Asian American communities through either AAS 681 and/or AAS 688 and/or concurrently enrolled in AAS 681 and/or AAS 688.
4) The award is contingent upon completion of the 60 hours internship by May 12.
5) Graduating seniors must be enrolled in at least 6 units the subsequent semester for a MA in Ethnic Studies or Asian American Studies. - Major: Asian American Studies

- Submit a signed letter from your internship supervisor detailing how you spent (or will spend) your 60+ hours including your role and responsibilities. This organization must be an off-campus organization that serves low-income Asian American youth.
