In Memory of Liana Sherrine Day-Williams

Liana Sherrine Day-Williams (1963-2013) earned her MA in Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy University in 1998 and went on to earn her Marriage and Family Therapist license in 2001. A loving wife and mother of two, Liana was passionate about helping families avoid violence. She served as Clinical Services Manager at STAND! For Families Free of Violence in Concord, California, and facilitated anger management groups at Building Better Families, Inc., Marin County. In honor of her work, she was selected as a relay runner to carry the Olympic Torch in 2002. Through this fellowship at San Francisco State University, her family wishes to create a legacy of support to future practitioners who will continue Liana’s life’s work.
