George Feliz Memorial Scholarship in Environmental Studies

Scholarship will be awarded Fall 2024. The scholarship winner(s) will be invited to and highly encouraged to attend the CoSE Donor Dinner in late October 2024 if the donor to their scholarship will be present.

  • Scholarship Intent: The George Feliz Memorial Scholarship will be awarded each spring to an Environmental Studies major. George Feliz was an Economics professor on campus from 1946 to 1975, and SFSU’s first dean of graduate studies. Feliz was instrumental in helping SF State evolve from a teacher’s college to a university. Professor Feliz donated an endowment fund to support a scholarship for Environmental Studies majors with financial need.

    2) Preference is given to single parents (not required of all applicants).
